Literacy
In literacy we are looking at biography`s and autobiography`s we have looked at David Becham`s, Martin Luther King and Queen Victoria`s. We are planning to write our own autobiography about our life.

Literacy and Science…all at the same time!
Yesterday, we were concerntrating on two lessons at the same time! The main lesson was Science, but while we were looking at different types of teeth on the e-books, we were note-taking aswell! We were looking at what types of teeth omnivores, herbivores and carnivores have. The people who had finished were allowed to take notes of ‘How to look after your teeth’ aswell. Soon after we had written the notes, we had to turn the e-books off and write all of our notes into sentences again. Most people didn’t finish, but the quick ones did.

Literacy Instructions
We have been looking at all of the different sections of instructions. Yesterday we had a go at writing our own set of them and we had to make sure that they had all of the features. We were creating something to guide Wallace and Gromit through the country and we had to tell them how to use it. We will be writing the best instructions up in pen and they will be placed at the back of the room on display.

What 5st did on Monday
In literacy 5st have been learning to arange a set of instructions, eg how to make Chocolate Crunch. There was some mistakes that we had to find a solve.

Verbs
We were taught imperative verbs, verbs, connectives and adverbials in literacy. And we had to write five sentences with imperative verbs. Also we have looked at recipies with powerful verbs and highlighted them. The recipies we have looked at are how to make a volcano, peppermint sweets and wax candles.

Literacy
This week in literacy we have been working on instructions. We watched an animation showing How to Make a Bottle Garden. The character was called Timothy Little Boots. He was a funny character with a squeaky voice! We made notes then wrote our own instructions. It was very amusing. We had great fun.
Some of us have parts in the Christmas play and others are in the choir. Full rehersals start next week.
On Friday afternoon we had this brilliant art lesson with fantastic paintings to observe so we could paint our own backgrounds. Jordan got paint on his nose the silly boy!
