Celebration Day

Posted on October 24th, 2008 in 5 ST Events by Mathew Steer

Tuesday was a special day at William Barcroft. It was CELEBRATION DAY! We enjoyed the theme of MUSIC AROUND THE WORLD.

Some pupil’s commented on this enjoyable time:

It was great that parents could come to school and join in with all our activities!

Parents took part in our trumpet lesson (given by Mrs S this week! She did relly well!) They couldn’t make sound on the trumpets at first but then got all excited when they did make a sound – even if the sounds were rather strange!

I loved the whole school assembly, especially the performance of the samba band.

Having the opportunity to play steel drums was fun, amazing, brilliant!

Our week

Our favourite lesson this week was art! We are creating caribbean pictures. We listen to peacful, calming music in art that helps us to relax and concentrate.

We might upload some samples of our work, so have a look next week!

Welcome!
